This occurs intermittently on my Win7 Enterprise installation. Double-clicking on a folder in Explorer opens the properties dialog for the folder, as if I'd right-clicked and then selected properties. Single-clicking works fine and only Explorer acts strangely. The mouse is a vanilla Logitech RX1000. Putting the computer to sleep then waking it again eliminates the problem (until it happens again, about once or twice a day) or it may sort itself out after 10 or 20 minutes. Hello, I plugged in another USB mouse and had the same behaviour with the different mouse. Plugging the original mouse back in the behaviour continued. The problem is intermittent and after a reboot it won't occur immediately. It seems to happen randomly,once or twice a day. Cheers, James

Since the issue persists after plugging another USB mouse, I suggest you find a PS/2 mouse for a test. Meanwhile, it's highly recommended to perform a Clean Boot and then double click Explorer again.Thanks,Novak

I'm seeing this too - Logitech Revolution MX mouse - unplugging/replugging usb does not fix. I do not have a ps2 mouse for testing. Win7 rtm ultimate x64. Just started happening from browsing the web (google/msdn). Any type of reboot and the problem goes away for a while, comes back seemingly at random.
