Hi, You may refer the following article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928634/en-us Please notice that you are working with a domain account. When you choose transfer All user accounts, files, and settings (recommended), if you haven't created accounts on the new computer, it doesn't matter, unless the new computer is on a domain. In this case, you should create the domain account on the new computer before you use Windows Easy Transfer. You can transfer accounts from the old computer by creating the accounts, using the same or different names, on the new computer during the transfer process. If you create accounts during the transfer process. Niki Han's answer just won't work as far as I can see. As Whaam4 states, the files he wishes to transfer come from a user on a domain that no longer exists. Given this situation it is therefore quite impossible to "create the domain account on the new computer before you use Windows Easy Transfer". How in the hell is he going to create a domain account when there is no domain server available to validate any request to join a user/computer to the domain? I have to say that I encountered a similar frustrating problem when I was forced to downgrade my home network from a domain to a workgroup. There was no easy way, as far as I could discover, to use Windows Easy Transfer (WET) to transfer all my domain user settings to my workgroup workstation. In the end I had to resort to using manual file copy/paste operations. It seems to me that WET would greatly benefit from having the ability to transfer/migrate files and settings not only from one computer to another but also from one user to another. I can think of several situations where such transfers would be very useful .... the most obvious being where a new staff member takes over a job and needs to move all his/her predecessor's work files/folders to his new account.
