Domain Name of Network
I have two PC (both with Windows XP SP3) and an HP printer that are networked together with Ethernet cables and a 2Wire gateway. I now would like to install Debian GNU/Linux 5.0.6 on one of the computers and make it a dual-boot machine. The other PC will remain with Windows XP only.During the installation of Debian, I am asked to supply the domain name of the network. It tells me that I can make up a name but to make sure to use the same domain name on all the computers.I set up the home network (using Windows XP) a long time ago and I honestly do not recall if and what name I gave to the network. I am not much of an expert with these things, so would somebody please tell me how do I locate the name of my network in Windows XP? I obviously would like to use the same name when installing Debian.I went to Start -> My Network Places, but then I do not know where the network name would be on the screen presented...Thanks.1 person needs an answerI do too
