Does number of cifs connection reduse network performance?
Good day As every system administrator i'm mappping my Win 7 clients to the network CIFS shares on the main storade by preforming NET USE command. With a time i've grove to at least 5 or 6 letters mapped to network shares on every Win 7 My question is : does increasinng of CIFS mounts on Win 7 client can affect to the network performance of that client ? Or network pwerformance at all? Thnaks ain advanceAlex Kaganovsky

Hi, Based on my understanding, you could map multiple drives in Windows 7; however, the network bandwidth is limited, if you are copying or accessing the files on the host server, the bandwidth consumption increases, this may affect your network performance.
