Does TPM & Bitlocker protect against virus/malware/stuff like this?
I am a little confused. I have mobo with TPM chip (Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P) and 7 Ultimate. Does TPM & Bitlocker help protect against virus/malware/stuff like this that you can get from simply surfing the web or, say, going to a site that tries to install spyware, or something similar? It seems this is geared towards someone taking your harddrive out of your computer and then obtaining information from it. I know, there is the microsoft website explaining what all this does, but I am not a super tech by any means and can barely understand that page. Its a lot of work to do all this, and I hate using 'keys' on flash drives since the last year I had 2 flash drives ____ out on me, so I have no confidence in keeping stuff in flash drives. So, in plain english, please explain, perferably with a yes or no.
