Does Security Essentials replace the Security Center? Shouldn't Security Essentials make sure that the Windows Firewall is enabled?
Just installed Security Essentials on an XP machine after uninstalling McAffee. Had to manually start Windows firewall but can't get Windows Security Center to run. Does Security Essentials replace the Security Center? Shouldn't Security Essentials make sure that the Windows Firewall is enabled?1 person needs an answerI do too

AFAIK MSE replaces the Security Center and the Windows Firewall. It has its own firewall component so MSE is behaving as designed. Here's the forum where you should ask questions about MSE: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/mse MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
