Documents stuck in print queue
Hi I've read various answers regarding this problem, and have stopped and re-started the 'print spool' in admin services, and also unchecked 'enable bidirectional support', but am still having this problem. Windows 7, HP Officejet Pro 8500A909a. I can print a test page from the printer, but no documents. My husband can use the printer without any problem at all. Thanks : )

Is it a network connected printer? Do you and your husband have diffrent operative systems? What drivers are you using? Did you try to reinstall "your" printer? /GWith best regards Gorgis

Hi Gorgis Thank you for replying. My husband and I both run windows 7, and use the printer via a wireless network. It used to work on my laptop, then just stopped with this printing error. I completely removed the printer, and only a couple of days ago downloaded the latest driver for the printer from HP - and reinstalled the printer. If I troubleshoot, windows removes the document from the queue saying it is now fixed - then the same thing happens again. Am fed up with it! lol.

I know HP has different types of drivers for its products... Did you try one of the other ones? Or use the IT specific package? I would try updating the driver this way. Then trying it again. I have seen where docs get stuck in the spooler, and even trying to remove and readd the printer seems tedious.Network Systems Engineer * Zvetco Biometrics * Windows Server 2008 R2 * Core2 6600 @ 3.30GHz * 16 GIGS RAM * NVIDIA 9400GT * ** " Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Did you test to print over cable? Do you have a 64 bit (x64) operative system or 32 bit? (x86) Please compare with your husbands. Right click the "my computer" ikon and choose properties, then check the "general" tab. Did you ever manage to print on that printer with the same configuration/system from your computer? if yes what have changed? With best regards Gorgis

Do you have this printer set as the default printer? Start orb>Devices and Printers. Is there a check mark next to your printer? If not, right click on it and left click on set as default printer. Jerry
