Assuming you are referring to "Microsoft Forefront Protection for Exchange Server", that product is expiring soon, so you can uninstall it if you want.
I recently started blocking spam via EOP, and turned off the spam filtering on Microsoft Forefront Protection for Exchange Server.
I would love to uninstall, but there are multiple problems with EOP for me.
One problem is that Microsoft Forefront Protection for Exchange Server will allow me to strip attachments out of an email if they match extensions, while EOP requires me to block the email.
