Ditto
I, too, am having exactly the same problem. I have been avoiding the automatic 8.1 download on this computer for many months-but this time it forced its way in. I couldn't stop it. This happened once before and messed a few things up and I had to revert everything back to factory....which was a pain when you are not computer savvy like me. Nevertheless, what confuses me is that when I go to the play store to download Microsoft Solitaire Collection as I knew it on Windows 8, it tells me it is already installed.....? If it is, then why won't it load for me to play.  My blue screen that says Microsoft too flashes and then goes back to my desktop screen.  Please help!

Hi Iacorey,

Base on my knowledge, the apps information you have installed will be saved in your Microsoft account, when you use the account to login another PC or a reverted PC, these apps will be list in the store with the state of "Not install", when you click these apps icon, it will be installed again.

However, if you found that the app have been installed, but cannot use it, I recommend you try to uninstall it and re-install again.

You can also use the "Troubleshoot problems with an app" tool to check if theres a problem with an app .

In addition, you need pay attention to the drivers also, it will cause the flashes issue also.
