Hi there.I run into another roadblock with that link, my monitor type propertis button was not active, but I keep trying and looking until I try the device manager and inside there start updatind adapter drives, display drives, etc and that took care of it, now my pc is again running in 32bit not 16bit nor 4bit, thank you for ur help, but I got this other computer(laptop) that I bought used with a OS 7 ultimate installed, that end up being non-genuine, microsoft knows when I activate windows updates they start sending me messages, even my laptop start crashing, and sometimes crashes under certain circumstances, my question is should I try to get a key product for the OS 7 ultimate, or format the HDD and install XP home edition I already own, the laptop is a Toshiba satellite Dual core PIV with 160G and 2G of RAM, maybe 5 year old that had Windows vista originally installed.THANK YOUsoccerpepe

Hi soccerpepe, Glad to know that the display on your Windows XP computer is fixed. The issue with Windows 7 has to be started with a new thread. I would suggest you to provide the following details on your new thread. · Is your Windows 7 activated?· When your laptop crashes, do you receive any blue screen stop errors? Please provide yoursystem information of your Windows 7 machine on your new thread. Moreover, you may not be able to downgrade to Windows XP on your Windows 7 machine since some of the hardware are only designed for Windows 7 and does not work for Windows XP. Also, you’ve to use one copy of windows on only one machine. Otherwise, you won’t be able to activate Windows XP. Hope this information is helpful and let me know if you need any further assistance.Mouneshwar R – Microsoft Support-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think
