Disk drive does not to create a password reset disk
I have Vista Business I am trying to create a password reset disk. When I see the window Forgotten password wizard > Create a password reset disk > I want to create a password key disk in the following drive. My writable CD/DVD drive K does not list as an option. I had previously inserted a blank CD. I tried with a blank CD-R. I also tried with a formatted (using Vista and then Nero iNCD) blank CD+RW. The options that shw are drives G (SD/MMC), H (CompactFlash), I (SamrtMedia), J (MS/MS/Pro). What do I have to do have the CD drive show? Is there a work aorind? Txs, Carlos

Hi Carlos, we can only use removable device or floppy to create the disk and CD/DVD is not the option. For detail information please check the following link: Create a password reset disk http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/help/5bf12a40-12b5-4ca8-87c3-7741adbd15841033.mspx Hope this helps!

Thank you. I used a SD memory card and I tested it. It works. Carlos
