someone had deleted tht main file and now i can't open the file to defrag my computer.so i was wanting to know how would i be able to get the disk defragmenter downloaded to my computer again?

Hi,M4D3LIN3 If i Understood you correctly, the file which is responsible for defrag is deleted.Please try the below steps:Step1:Start---Run--type C:\Windows\Infor%Windir%\Infand Click on OK.Now right click dfrg.inf file and then click install.orClickStart,Runand type: rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\inf\dfrg.inf This will install Disk DefragmenterStep 2:Some times registring dll files might fix the issue.You have to register the following files:Opencmd and type the following (1)regsvr32 dfrgsnap.dll(2)regsvr32 dfrgui.dll Probably this might fix your issue. Step 3:If the above step is not working you can run SFC SCAN.How to run SFC Scan?Open Run and type cmdYou have to run cmd Prompt as administrator.Then type sfc /scannowNote: For Windows XP you require installation cd to placed in the optical drive before running sfc /scannow.
