When we leave the office for a couple of hours, and we come back, all the drive mapping are shown as disconnected. We have a DOS application which need an active connection to the mapped network drive. That apllication is hangs and there are error messages that the required network drive is not available. We have tried the following options: Uninstall antivirus program Device manager: disabled on NIC the computer may this device turn off for saving energy net config server /autodisconnect:-1 netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel highlyrestricted Lan Manager authentication level Send: LM & NTLM responses But after all these action hte problem is not yet solved, I ran out of ideas. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks for your response! Best regards, Willem hendrik Berkhof

Such issues can be caused by firewall. How does it work if you disable the firewall on the server? Meantime I suggest you change the default NTLM authentication level back. The default level in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 is the same. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
