Disconnect from Remote Desktop goes to Logon Screen.
Hi I have a Vista Media Center pc that has automatic logon so that it can be operated without a keyboard or mouse. Now when I connect to it via Remote Desktop and Disconnect it locks the pc and shows the logon screen. This is not practical when my kids later tryes to use the Media Center and they can't.How do i prevent a disconnect from Remote Desktop from locking the Media Center pc? Regards.

Hi, I am afraid that it is impossible. When you disconnect the Remote Desktop connection, actually the system is still considered that it is logged on with the user remotely. If you log off from the Remote Desktop connection, the system will be "Log Off" status. In both situations you need at least a mouse or a keyboard to log on the system. Arthur Xie - MSFT

I do not understand why this is so. When a connection is made via Remote Assistance it is possible to disconnect the Remote session without locking the pc?

Thanks very much. This is exactly what I want. It works perfectly. (I have to use 1 instead of 0 though, and the command must be run with administrator rights)
