Directx Setup installation error
an internal system error occured. Please refer to DXError.log and directX.log in your windows folder to determine problem.I've had Directx 10 or 11 before, and I've ran DirectX Rollback Wizard, hope that it would fully uninstall, but it didn't.Where are located the files that are in Directx? or where they could be located...Also, I think this could be fixed if I downloaded a version that I manually install Directx9.DXerror.log:--------------------[10/26/10 17:20:40] module: dxupdate(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 175, function: GetDXVersionFailed API: RegOpenKeyEx()Error: (2) - The system cannot find the file specified.Current DirectX may be a older version which does not have directx key in the registry.--------------------[10/26/10 17:20:40] module: dxupdate(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 4515, function: DirectXUpdateDownloadPlugInGetDXVersion() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:20:41] module: DXWSetup(Feb 4 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 386, function: DownloadPlugInDirectXUpdateDownloadPlugIn() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:20:41] module: DXWSetup(Feb 4 2010), file: psheets.cpp, line: 498, function: PreinstDlgProcDownloadPlugIn() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:21:59] module: dxupdate(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 175, function: GetDXVersionFailed API: RegOpenKeyEx()Error: (2) - The system cannot find the file specified.Current DirectX may be a older version which does not have directx key in the registry.--------------------[10/26/10 17:21:59] module: dxupdate(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 4515, function: DirectXUpdateDownloadPlugInGetDXVersion() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:22:00] module: DXWSetup(Feb 4 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 386, function: DownloadPlugInDirectXUpdateDownloadPlugIn() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:22:00] module: DXWSetup(Feb 4 2010), file: psheets.cpp, line: 498, function: PreinstDlgProcDownloadPlugIn() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:25:29] module: dxupdate(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 175, function: GetDXVersionFailed API: RegOpenKeyEx()Error: (2) - The system cannot find the file specified.Current DirectX may be a older version which does not have directx key in the registry.--------------------[10/26/10 17:25:29] module: dxupdate(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 4515, function: DirectXUpdateDownloadPlugInGetDXVersion() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:25:30] module: DXWSetup(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 386, function: DownloadPlugInDirectXUpdateDownloadPlugIn() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:25:30] module: DXWSetup(Jun 2 2010), file: psheets.cpp, line: 498, function: PreinstDlgProcDownloadPlugIn() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:34:45] module: dxupdate(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 175, function: GetDXVersionFailed API: RegOpenKeyEx()Error: (2) - The system cannot find the file specified.Current DirectX may be a older version which does not have directx key in the registry.--------------------[10/26/10 17:34:45] module: dxupdate(Jun 2 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 4515, function: DirectXUpdateDownloadPlugInGetDXVersion() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:34:46] module: DXWSetup(Feb 4 2010), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 386, function: DownloadPlugInDirectXUpdateDownloadPlugIn() failed.--------------------[10/26/10 17:34:46] module: DXWSetup(Feb 4 2010), file: psheets.cpp, line: 498, function: PreinstDlgProcDownloadPlugIn() failed.

In Windows XP, you cannot install DirectX 10 or 11. Those versions are found only in Windows Vista and Windows 7 respectively. The only version available for installation in Windows XP is DirectX 9 which is available for updating fromhere.Carey Frisch

no, I (already) have DirectX 11 on my computer, what I want is to delete it and download DirectX 9, but when I try, I get an error.
