Direct file share mapping through VPN
I have a user who works remotely, connecting to our network through a VPN connection. On XP we were able to set up a direct map to the network shares using the following method: Go to "My Network Places"Under Network Tasks, click Add a network place Click Next at the opening screen Click Choose another network location and Next For the Internet or network address, type in https://vpn.domain.com/dfs/shareName/ and click Next Provide a user name and passwordName the connection In Windows 7, this no longer works. After completing these steps, the user is prompted a second time for user name and password, and upon entering those, gets an error message: "The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose another." Any ideas how to get this to work?Click Start, click Run..., type "cmd" and hit enter, type "work /now"
