Dings randomly when typing @-sign
Hi, I have a weird error on one of my clients. When pushing the @(at)-sign with alt-gr+2 (Swedish layout) It randomly beeps and don't write out the sign. It happens around 50% of the times the button is pressed. It's a laptop and the problem is still there with both the internal and the external keyboard. When i log on remotly through RDP the error doesn't exists. Any idea? Kind regards, Noiden

Hi, Why do you wanna do like this? Seems this is a warning defined by manfacturer for keyboard type conflict.Juke Chou TechNet Community Support

Hi, What do you mean with: "Why do you wanna do like this?". It just started, It has worked without problems like a half year, and the weird thing is that's in only in the webbrowsers and with both the internal and external keyboard.

Hi, What can the key combination @(at)-sign with alt-gr+2 (Swedish layout) do? I never heard such key combination. Please advise. Juke Chou TechNet Community Support

Hi, Nah, on a swedish keybord you have to hold Alt-gr and press 2 to get a @-sign. You can use the combination on ctrl+alt+2 also and that combination did work, so It's a bit wierd this problem.

Hi, Yep, I tested it, it worked. Can you please try to remove the keyboard layout and add it again? Or boot into Safe Mode to have a test. This willl eliminate some 3rd party causes. Juke Chou TechNet Community Support
