Different Personal Information Manager

Hello Community.

is it possible to push another personal information manger, than Microsoft Exchange/Outlook.

I want to manipulate the presence off the user, from a different company's presence indication.

is this possible?

please tell me if more information regarding the setup or question is needed?

Best regards Mike

For personal information Manager, there is Microsoft Exchange/outlook or none.

For Custom presence, you can check below links

lets say i have a company with 30 cellphones which already updates presence in my current system, if i link 1 of these cellphones to a lync client.

is the lync client then able to tell whether or not i'm on the phone ?

and are there any settings regarding this information?

Lync Client able to tell automatic that you are on mobile.

There is no setting for this information because it detect type of lync client for Android, iPhone and soon automatically and write beside your name {Mobile}

If you want to create custom presence, you can check below link,

im not sure we are on the same page, im not talking about the lync client for mobile.

if I, as a user have a company cellphone with e.g nr 20201234 and i have my lync desktop client with number e.g 20202345, is the lync client on the desktop then able to detect when i have an ongoing call on 20201234, so that it sets 20202345 as busy.

so that the presence of the end user is working between all numbers. without having the lync client on the cellphone.

By Default No, Lync Client on Desktop will not detect when you have an ongoing call on 20201234, so that it sets 20202345 as busy.

By default, If you have a company cellphone with nr:20201234, and Lync Desktop Client with nr. 20202345, you will be able to call from your client Desktop the mobile phone.

To get lync client detect mobile phone and working together, you will need to configure it from lync client by enable Simultaneously Ring

sorry to unmark your answer.. but i have to reopen this topic..

you say by dafault you cant detect? but i want a customized solution, it is still the same issue i want solved.

I want my lync client to detect whether im on my mobile phone or not, no regard to whether im using the lync app or anything like that. my idea of it, is that lync somehow needs a status(presence) pushed from the mobile phone when the call is active/initated.

I am of the beleif that this is possible, and i am pretty sure it has been done before.

I hope you understand my issue, and that you are able to shed some light on it.

Best regards
