Differences between XP/2003 and Vista drivers?
I have had compatibility problems with both machines I have installed Vista on. They have different NICs (Marvell & 3Com). In both cases, I was able to simply install the XP/2003 drivers and everything was fine. What exactly are the differences between the XP/2003 and Vista driver models? If XP/2003 drivers work, why not just include them with the OS? Are there any advantages to the Vista model?

I question this, too. And actually I am doing P2V on SCVMM. The offline conversion process uses Vista drivers. For the HP BL460C G1, it does not have a compatible driver and is asking for a Vista driver. In looking at HP's web site for this blade, it doesn't have Vista as an option for the NC series NIC but it does have 2003.So what's the difference?
