Differences between 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 UAC
Hello,
I want to know if there is any differences between 32-bit and 64-bit version of Windows 7 UAC? I found that when I use some applications (like WINRAR) in Windows 7 32-bit version it won't has the UAC prompt but in 63-bit version, it will has prompt every
time I start the program. Does anyone have idea on it? Thanks!Bismarck Ho (TE022114P)

There is no difference. Have you set the compatibility option (Run as Administrator) for the 64Bit WinRAR?"A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

The differences are from the applications. For example, if you install 32bit WinRAR in Windows 7 64bit computer, it can work, however you must received a notice when installing which said that 64bit WinRAR is recommended. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Again Arthur, don't always mark YOUR reply as anwser which is pure speculation. Mark both replies or none as answer.
