Diagnostics policy service won't start
Hi, I have a Sony Vaio NW20ZF. A few months ago i noticed my internet kept cutting off constantly but then suddenly it went fine and now it has started to constantly go off. When i go into troubleshoot problems it says the Diagnostics policy service isnt started and it is unable to resolve the problem, i have gone into the services.msc and tried to start it manually but when i click start it says that it started and stopped itself, could this be causing my internet problems? and how could i fix this? My computer specs are as follows: Pentium T4300 @ 2.10Ghz 4GB Ram 320GB HDD Ati Radeon HD4570 512MB Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64x Thanks

Hi, The Diagnostic Policy Service enables problem detection, troubleshooting and resolution for Windows components. If this service is stopped, diagnostics will no longer function. So I do not think this is the cause. Could you please advise the following questions. Can you obtain the IP address properly? Have you tried to ping a public DNS name when the issue occurs?
