I am having troubles with my internet. When i try to connect it tells me i Diagnostic Policy Services are no running, so i try and I start it up, and when i do, it tells me it can't du to an error 5: access denied. I don't know why at all. My internet has been working for months, and now just suddenly doesn't. The Wireless Network card is still good, since i can still find the networks in my area. Just clueless what to do. Can anyone help: Thanks jc.jenson@gmail.com

I'm having the same problem. Did you ever get it fixed? If so how?

I also have the same problem. Using inetrnet connection with no problems in new notebook since I got it couple of weeks ago. Windows crash, succesfull restore, could no longer connect to the isp due to diagnosis service policy can't be open due to error 5, access denied. Any solution to this issue before going back to XP and loosing again all my loaded programs?

Finally, after 2 days looking for help at Microsoft and the manufacturer's custom help lines (more than 2 hours of international calls from Chile) no one could help me solve the problem and had to go to the last chance solution, a complete windows recovery. That eventually solved the problem, it was the only way. My problem started after an illegal Windows log-off,could never access intenet again, with the same syptoms described above. Hope Microsoft will fix this bug, not nice todo a complete recovery with all the hassle (programs lost) just because an illegal log off.
