DiRT2 constantly crashes under Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit
At the start of 2010 I installed the game DiRT2 for the first time and had no problems of any kind. Game worked exceptionally and according to Steam statistics, I clocked 85 hours of game play within January and February. After that I took a break from it
(played other games, or had too busy time to play anything) and now, or rather at the end of 2010, I decided to try it again. Only now the game constantly crashes shortly after it is launched. I've updated all of the drivers to latest versions and what not,
but no cigar. Unfortunately the error messages so far do not tell much about anything, at least to me. Another unfortunate thing is that it is ONLY DiRT2 what does it, everything else I have, including other Steam products, work well. Error logs are usually
like this:
Faulting application name: dirt2_game.exe, version: 1.1.0.0, time stamp: 0x4b598827

I've done searches on Microsoft Support site and Codemasters support (developers of DiRT2) are also looking into this but so far no suggestions have been either found or have worked. During the time when I did not play the game I did not do any major updates
to my computer, just the usual regular Windows updates, driver updates, and some additional new programs were installed which I used, but none of them affected the software or hardware in any way. Only major update of the game itself was made in March 2010
when it was patched. If someone could even point as to what may cause it or how to find out more details about the cause, it would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Whailor.

Hi,
Due to your Windows 7 have many difference after you played this game last time, it could be caused by software conflicts. Currently, I suggest you try a

Since this issue is related to third-party program, to get more help, it is recommended to contact software manufacturer:
