Device Descriptor Fail (Code 43)

I've seen all other articles on it, none of the previous solutions have worked.

I know what the device is, it's a Intel Bluetooth chip, the default Microsoft driver kept losing connection to my PS4 controller, so I installed the bluetooth driver then it started reporting in device manager as an unknown device.

I tried things such as uninstalling the drivers, installing older ones....

Only thing I haven't done is a clean install

MB Is a GA-z9N-Wifi, I know the bluetooth card is still working as it's attached to the wifi card and the wifi still works fine.

if you already make sure there is no issue with Bluetooth HW, try to install this DS4 tools and connect your PS4 controller to your PC using this software

As I said it's the Bluetooth that is not showing up in device manager, all drivers are the newest.

I have done all trouble shooting, and the drivers are from Gigabyte's website. However I know it's an issue with Windows and not the Bluetooth card itself, as the WiFi is still working, and the device was working before installing the Intel driver.

But even if I uninstall the intel driver, it still fails to recognize the device.

did you enable Hyper-V in BIOS? try to disable it first, sometimes Bluetooth will conflict with Hyper-V

can you try to use auto detect function in device manager, do it for both Intel chipset and bluetooth

right click device in device manager and choose uninstall and let windows detect it

Fix it doesn't work, I've already uninstalled installed other and auto checked for drivers as mentioned before.

However I will try the hyper-v on next restart. As I know I have it forced for my emulators.

Hi,

I also recommend you get the latets BIOS version, and you can also try the following steps, check if it can make any difference

a)    Turned the laptop off, unplugged it.
b)    Pulled out the battery for a few minutes.
c)    Then power on the laptop.

Since this issue happened recently, then if you have a restore point created previously, you can return the system to a previous state, check if you can regain the function.

Thanks, after turning off Virtualization in bios, the Bluetooth chip was re-added to Windows. With the Microsoft generic driver. I had this issue for months, the ant- hyperV was the first ever non-copy pasted nonsense solution, thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for pointing out, I should pay more attention to the details, and glad to know that you've found the cause.
