Desktop to laptop home group can not make network or shareing setings save on destop
I can get to the laptop through the wireless DIR-655 Dlink router I just bought. The homegroup on the laptop is there and file transfer works to the desktop. On the desktop the make network discouvery goes away as well ____ the shairing check marks when I look on the laptop to see if the desktop is in the home group. I can not get to the desktop from the laptop over the wireless as I cannot save networkdiscouvery or any sharing setttings in the ome home group The desktop is a Windows 7 pro. The laptop is Windows 7 also.

Hi, After check this issue, I would like to suggest you try the following steps on your desktop to check the result: 1. Enable the TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service. 2. Temporarily disable your antivirus program to check it. 3. Update your NIC driver to the latest. 4. Boot your desktop into Safe Mode with networking to check if the issue persists. If not, try Clean Boot to see how it works. Hope it helps.
