Hi....am on windows 8 and clicked the desktop tile but all what keeps happening is the desktop screen just flashes on and off and wont load up. I then have to ctrl-alt-del to enable me to get back to the tiles on windows 8 ?. I hope I have made myself understandable as to what keeps happening.

Hi,

When did this problem occures? Did you make any change to your system before this?

How about press WIN key in your keyboard, could it enter desktop?

To fix this problem, firstly, you can try to make system repair by entering Advance boot mode and using system repair.

Also you can try to create a new User Account to fix this problem.

Many thx for yr reply.....I am able to get the windows 8 tile screen ok but if I enter desktop tile that's when it goes through to desktop but nothing loads up...if I press the win key it goes back to the tiles screen but then this also keeps flashing on and off so the only way I can get back is to Ctrl+Alt+Del which gives me the options of Lock -Switch User -Task Manager or sign out...I use the sign out and re-sign back in so I am then back on my tile screen and it is then not flashing on and off the screen...but then if I press the desktop screen the above happens again.

I hope I kinda make sense as I am by no means very techy on stuff like this.

Oh forgot to say no did not make any changes to laptop before this occurred...was playing the Microsoft solitaire game then closed it down and clicked on the desktop tile and that is when it started happening
