I encountered a problem today that I never experienced in XP. I booted up this morning and all worked well; came back a couple of hours later and, although the mouse worked, none of the desktop icons worked, including the start button and task bar.I re-started using the power button; it took a long time, but no icons appeared in the system tray (maybe didn't wait long enough). I re-started again and used Go-Back to restore the system to start of day; all is OK now, but I was wondering if anyway has had this happen and what the cause could be.I did add more memory on Friday and the computer has been working fine until this problem occurred. I have a Dell with 3 GB of RAM. Thanks for any input! (This may hav already been posted, Sorry!)2 people need an answerI do too
