hi,after my notebook hang up the shortcuts vor webpages arent working anymore.IE starts, but it never displays a webpage, neither a 404 or anything als is displayed.anyone an idea???tnxchristianps: sorry for my bad english ;-)

Christian - What happens when you type in a URL in the address bar? Can you get anywhere then?If not, have you tried doing a reset of Internet Explorer? Press the Alt key, click on Tools | Internet Options and select the Advanced tab at the end. At the bottom, there's a reset button - this will clear everything out and reset IE 8 to it's default settings.

hi,thank you for your answer.but it does not work.i can surf when i type the url in the adress bar, i can follow a link within a website,but wenn i try to open a shortcut from the desktop, ie opens, says it build up the connection,but nothing else happens.wenn i start other programms in this time, windows sometimes hangs up completly.regardschristian
