Desktop/ projector sharing
I have a projector that is not a network projector. I would like to use an old computer that is running windows XP pro to connect the projector to a LAN so I can display presentations from my laptop running windows 7. The simplest way I can think of is to use a desktop sharing program but I cant find one for windows 7 that doesn't require an internet connection. I also tried putting the presentation on the xp desktop and controlling it with Remote desktop but this just displays the login screen on the xp computer while remote desktop is active. any help would be appreciated

Hi, Base on my understanding, you want to control Windows 7, to display presentations with projector which installed on Windows XP. You can use remote desktop connection to achieve this. When you remote to Windows XP, you need the administrator account and password in Windows XP. So put the local admin and password on login screen when you remote to Windows XP. Hello, When using remote desktop the target computer will display the log in screen while you are accessing from your own machine however, remote assistance will display on the target what is being done via your win7 laptop, there are other 3rd party programs that also do this but as you said many require internet connection John Muller
