Deprecated IPv6 address does not become Preferred when it should
Hi It seems there is a bug in Windows Vista/7 IPv6 stack. The suspected behaviour should be: IPv6 address becomes deprecated -> Windows process RA with the same IPv6 address but life time non zero -> IPv6 address (same as before) becomes valid. Current behaviour of IPv6 stack on Windows Vista and Windows 7: IPv6 address becomes deprecated -> Windows process RA with the same IPv6 address but life time non zero -> IPv6 address stays deprecated but life time is changed to non zero (from RA) This faulty behaviour is not triggered when the IPv6 address in RA is other than current deprecated address. PS. Grammar natzi get lost, English is my second language.
