Dependent sync rules stopped working correctely after Update 4.0.3547.2

When I removed a dependent sync rule before update 3547.2 the rule was removed from the user and it was not applied anymore as expected. After an upgrade to 3547.2 the rule was removed from the user but the user was deleted from the AD and Added at the same time (delete-adds in the fim synchronization engine) which resulted in a new SID, autogenerated account name, a disconnected mailbox and some more problems. I have tried this in three separate environments with the same result, before 3547.2 everything works as expected (by me) and after it does not. I have even tried to install fim from the beginning and applied update 3576.2 before making any configuration. I also get 2 delete expected rule entries within one second on the same dependent rule. (before the update I only got one)

Does anyone else have this problem?

I didn't try this prior to 3547, so, what you're describing is more or less expected behavior to me. I tried this one day with non-dependent sync rules and saw the same thing.

My suggestion would be to call PSS and ask them what the expected behavior says. Either it's a regression or a bug fix.

Hi Peter,

Did you find a solution to this?

I am facing the exact same issue.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks
