Denied access to some of my folders in Windows 7 Home Premium
I have been using Windows XP Pro. so I am new to Windows 7.
My problem is I am logged on as administrator in windows 7 Home Premium and in Windows Explorer under local disk (C:) I am not
allowed access to the Documents and Settings folder. It has a closed lock symbol on the folder.
Also under Users there is also a closed lock symbol on my user folder and some of its sub folders are also closed to me. There
is also a lock symbol on the All Users Folder and the Default User folder.
I have tried unsuccessfully to network with my other computer running Windows XP Pro. An I was wondering if any of the file sharing
settings could have been changed?
How do I regain access to all the folders on my computer?

The Documents and Settings folder is a junction point (for compatibility for old programs which don't use the correct API to get the user folder) no real folder. The
data are stored since Vista here:

Also All Users is now changed to the 'Program Data' directory which is a hidden directory locally on the C drive
The local administrator of the machine should be able to navigate into other 'Users' folder but will prompt with a permissions message ensuring you wish to continueLee Bowman MCITP MCTS
