Delete permission on LAN folder
I'm having problem to setup the Delete permission on LAN folder. Let's say my company is using Win XP SP3 and has a LAN folder as below. I grant a group of users the read and write permissions on this "acceptance" folder. I deny the "Delete" permission for this group so that they won't be able to delete this "acceptance" folder by accident. I do allow the "Delete subfolders and files" for this group so that they can create or delete folders/files underneath this "acceptance" folder. O:\acceptance\The problem is if user right clicks on the acceptance folder and accidently select Delete, it would delete anything resides underneath the acceptance folder. This is not good. I want user to be able to delete anything underneath the acceptance folder ONLY IF user is INSIDE the acceptance folder. If user right click on the acceptance folder and select delete, he/she shouldn't be allowed to delete anything undeneath the acceptance folder. So is there anyway to achieve this? Please help. Thanks in advanced.1 person needs an answerI do too
