Default user permissions
Is there a way to change the default permissions for files? I have a win 7 virtual machine and for some reason my user isn't allowed to run some files. the two I have come across are ccleaner.xe and anything to do with MSE. I had problems updating MSE and upgrading it. When I looked at the exe's they only had two permissions ticked for my user and run ( or w.e it is) wasn't ticked. Is there a way to set the default for all files without me having to change every file.

What are you trying to achieve? You not be messing with permissions as that can affect the way Windows worksMy MVP is for the Windows Desktop Experience, i.e. Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 IT Remote Assistance is available for a fee. Hi, Based on my understanding, after you set permissions on a parent folder, new files and subfolders that are created in the folder inherit these permissions. As an alternative, you can try to create accounts which have enough permission.
