Default Shares for non-domain controlled systems. Windows 7 and prior.
Default administrative shares are a bad idea. Why does Microsoft insist on doing this? At most, its ok to run through a wizard or similar configuration procedure. Its a potential security risk for non-domain users. Administrators already know how to account for such things, and, if necessary, will implement appropriate policies or manual configurations on an as-needed basis.
