To fix your issue follow these steps: TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows Vista. Start, Programs\Accessories and right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt. In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following commands: Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log Reboot the machine. If that doesn't work give a static ip and see.

Hi, I would like to verify if any error message appears? Does the machine run Windows 7? What is the computer model? Did you set the gateway for the computer manually every time? I suggest updating the network adapter driver from manufacture's site manually. Try the Clean Boot and disable the security software. Hi there We had a problem with a few of our PC's gateways disappearing. This fixed our issue: 1. Open the registry with regedit 2. Go to the path: HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/Tcpip/Parameters/Interfaces/ 3. Here you'll need to select the CLSID of your networkadapter where you change the settings. You'll probably recognize it by looking at the value IPAddress that will have the IP of this adapter. 4. Open the value "DefaultGateway" by doubleclicking it. You will see a list of all the gateways that disappeared! (maybe in your case it will be only one, in my case there were due to lots of testing several addresses) Very likely, the first line will be empty. I'm not sure, how this little flaw can make such a big problem. However, if you manually remove this first empty line, click OK and reboot your system everything should be working fine again. Hope this helps :-)
