Default Administrator account as roaming profile?
Is it possible for the default Administrator account to be set as a roaming profile on a home server? With multiple PCs on a home network (each with its default Administrator account), I would obviously want all of those to become one roaming account and want to know if it's possible; and if so, how to 'merge' the accounts when changing to roaming profile - and how this is safely processed.

Generally speaking, roaming profile is mainly for a domain environment, because we cannot log on ComputerA with ComputerBs local administrator account. My understanding is that you want to ensure several workgroup computers local Administrator accounts to share the some local profile, which is physically saved on a central home server. Is it correct? First of all, this is not recommended and supported. This is because it may cause conflict problems if more than 1 users are using the profile at the same time. Also, authentication in a workgroup environment would cause further problems. Therefore, the best method is to establish an AD domain in this network and use a domain account with roaming profile. However, if you still want to share profiles with different workgroup computers accounts, you may try to set the location of the Administrator profile on a shared network place. Very Important Note: This is not an official method and potential problems may occur. I just list it here for your reference and cannot guarantee it will work. Please use it at your own risk. 1. Logon as another account with Administrators privileges.2. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "lusrmgr.msc" and press Enter. 3. Click "Users" in the left pane. 4. In the right pane, double-click "Administrator", and click the "Profile" tab.5. Type the path in "Profile path". Hope this helps.
