Hi, I had Windows 8 plain on the laptop I bought. I then upgraded to Windows 8 pro by buying the upgrade product key. I now want to deactivate the pro version I added and activate/install it on another computer. I don't see a place to deactivate the pro version . Can anyone please help?

There is no way to deactivate Windows. Delete your current Windows 8, install it on the 2nd PC and use the same key. When the online activation fails use the phone to activate Windows 8.

So Arthur, how do you delete Windows 8 and what phone number do you call?
