DWM Error
A few days ago I started generaing an error in dwm, and it stopped working. The message says: --- dwm.exe - Bad Image C:\Windows\system32\d3d10_1.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. --- The only recent install I've done has been windows updates, and clean booting the system still gives the error, as does trying to run dwm from the start menu. Updating the graphics drivers hasn't made any changes, and I can't seem to work out how to force a directx reinstall I'm using: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate GeForce 9800 GTI My system in general is a i5 750 with 4GB of RAM. I clean installed Win 7 x64 on it a few months back. Unsurprisingly, without DWM running, the system graphics are slow and I'm getting annoyed. Any ideas on how to solve this error are greatly appreciated.

Hi, As this issue occurs recently, system restore can be under consideration. In addition, I would suggest run Windows Live OneCare Safty Scanner to help clear any corrupt settings and registry values. http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm Regards,Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
