iam facing problem after my laptop is upgraded to windows 8 to 8.1 pro. i am able to see the icon of the dvd rom when i click on it it blinks green light and use the options its eject . after placing DVD or CD its not reading and writing  the Data. Functoing properly unable to read and write the dat into disk.
