Internet connection via DSL. Works fine with Vista. With Win7, everytime my telephone rings...my computer wakes up.Any ideas/suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I put my computer into "sleep" mode when I leave it for a long periodMy DSL is with the phone company and goes into a router and from there is hardwired to the computer.Have hard drive partitioned with Vista on one side and Windows 7 on other....no problem with Vista, just Win7Thanks

You have an ethernet card connecting your machine to the router. In the Properties of this Network Adapter device, the Power Management tab has a "Wake on Lan" setting, with several checkboxes you can uncheck.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP
