DNS server not respnding, yet I have internet
So my wireless connection on my computer has been acting very weirdly lately. When opening up any form of internet explorer, whether it is the aforementioned internet explorer or Firefox, I am prompted with the message that the DNS server is not responding.
At the same time, however, I can access AIM and have confirmed that any instant messages that I send out are received by the other party, so I have internet in some sense.
I have tried resetting the router, repairing the connection between the router and my computer, I have made sure that the DNS and IP addresses are checked for automatically. However, since I have internet yet I can't use internet explorers is what is confusing
me the most, and it seems to be an all or nothing problem with internet on the forums.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and any additional information will be offered immediately.

First of all, have you checked for a malware infection? Check your proxy settings under
Control Panel->Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings and make sure the
Use a Proxy Server box isn't checked (malware will sometimes do this).
If the computer is clean, I'm going to make a basic assumption here that you don't have an internal DNS server and that your router is handling your DNS. If this is true, open a command prompt and type "IPCONFIG /ALL". Under DNS Servers for your
wireless connection you should see only your router's address. If not, your network connection is misconfigured. If it
is your router's address then Windows is set up properly and either your router is misconfigured or your ISP is having issues with
its DNS.
