DNS issue in Windows Vista
I have a network connection with DSL. I can ping a website's IP address, but not the DNS name. I can also go to a site via IP address in the IE address bar, but not via DNS name. I have tried multiple routers, multiple connections and cables. Other PC's work on the same network. I have tried the following already: rebuilt the TCP/IP stack ipconfig /flushdns safe mode with networking Wireless and hard wired Disabled IPV6 Verified settings in IPV4 (dhcp) Hard coding the DNS servers I can ping just about any valid IP address including the DNS servers. The laptop is a Acer Aspire 5570Z running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2

Hi, Thank you for your post! Before going further, I would appreciate if you can clarify the following question: 1. When did this issue begin to occur? If recently, system restore can be under consideration. 2. Can you ping the website in another computer? I suspect it is this specific website that contains issue.
