DNS error
Contact your ISP to see what DNS server you should use. If you don't have any that you need to use, i would use google public dns (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)

So I bought a new modem and tried installing it but after connecting everything I do not have internet connectivity. I tried trouble shooting the problem and it says that it is a DNS connection problem. The modem is a Motorola Surfboard SB5100. Can anyone help me figure out how to get rid of the DNS server not responding so that I can use internet at home?

Hi, Let me know whats the state of you network connection icon in the lower right corner of your desktop. In general, my suggestions is to set DNS manually. Network and Sharing Center>Change Adapter Settings>Local areal connection>Properties>Double click Internet protocol version 4>check under Use the following DNS server address>type 8.8.8.8(Googles DNS server)>ok. If its useless, you can also contact to your ISP for help.
