DNS Server
Dear people,
I am having a great trouble with my laptop as my connection cuts occasionally but on the modem I am connected to the internet. When I troubleshooted the issues it says DNS SERVER ISN'T RESPONDING,
if anyone knows where is the problem ans how can I resolve it, please post your comments,
Thanks :D

Next time it happens, with regard to troubleshooting possible DNS issues...you should use NSLOOKUP instead. Many of the applications and/or troubleshooting wizards may indicate an DNS issue if the app cannot resolve for DNS. It could be a networking
issue preventing getting to DNS.

Hello,
try using 4.2.2.2 as primary DNS server in IPv4 settings and check if the problem is persists or not. If yes, then I suspect that there is a problem with your ISP DNS server (I supposed here that it is the used one, by default, for DNS resolution).
If the problem persists then I suspect that there is a connectivity problem and I suggest contacting your ISP Technical Support.
Use nslookup like JM mentioned to check that all is okay with DNS resolution.

Sounds like, as the error message states, the DNS server you are
using (check your network settings to see it) isn't answering to queries
this in turn means that resolving "names to IPs" (to make a long story
short - dns is more than just that) doesn't work
Try the following:
fire up a command prompt (type cmd in the search box) and then at
the prompt, enter the following commands (as reported)
nslookup
server 4.2.2.3
www.live.com
exit
it all's ok, you shouldn't see any error and after entering the "www"
line you should see some infos related to the live.com site IP(s)
if that's the case, then
Open your network setting and change your DNS to point to 4.2.2.3
Reboot the machine (don't "hybernate", reboot) so that we'll be sure
that the local dns cache will be clean
Fire your browser and download the windows version of this program
http://www.unbound.net/
Once the download will complete, right click on the setup package
and run it "as administrator", then go on through all the setup steps
(really a few); then, if all ok, reboot the system
Open your network settings and change your DNS to point to 127.0.0.1
Check if the usual network access works, e.g. try surfing the internet
or the like
