DHCP and Netgear RT 314
Hi Guys, ihave a problem with the DHCP-Server function between Win7 and the firewallrouter RT314 by Netgear. Win7 don't became an IP-Adress.I must restart win7 and thenisall Ok.I need this funktion for other OS and CPU, it's simpliar as forgive manual IP's. It is a BUG by Win7? Under Win Vista, WinXp PRO and Red Hat Linux i haven't problems with the DHCP-Server function.

You will have to ask Netgear for a Win7 driver for the router.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP

I cannot understand you, why if you restart pc it is ok but it cannot obtain ip from dhcp?I suppose you do not start the router after pc is loaded windowsIf it have ip on windows load how it lose it?This may be NIC driver issue you can try to fix by disabling power managementfor nicBetter way is to check for nic driver update
