DHCP Client service failed to start on Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit
My client is using WIN 7 Enterprise 32-bit (Imaged) operating system, with cisco any connect installed, for VPN connectivity. The concern is the DHCP client service stops every time when the system is booted, and need to be manually start. Have tried most of the possible resolutions steps, viz. a) %Windir%\System32\Drivers for afd.sys ,tcpip.sys ,netbt.sys, also checked the same from devmgmt.msc (non-plug and play devices). b) ipconfig / release and renew , c) netsh winsock reset, d) reinstalling client for microsoft network , e) reinstalled network drivers, f) checked for TCP/IP NetBios Helper service, IPSEC Services, Remote Procedure Call (RPC). g) given full permission to the Local Service account from registry. The concern persists. As a quick fix, have attached a script to the startup for starting DHCP services. However, i would like to have a perfect resolution for this concern, to run the system w/o script. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
