DHCP CLIENT
Windows 7 professional is not acquiring ip address from dhcp server

To troubleshoot this kind of issues, please refer to:

Check the system time and time zone. Make sure that everything is set properly.
Then try following commands in the order given
ipconfig /flushdns
arp -d *
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
Then run "ipconfig" and see what kind of ip address are you getting, if you are getting "169.254..." then either your computer doesn't see dhcp, or the dhcp server is not running.
