DFS Fix for Mapped Drives

Does anyone know where I can get this hotfix for Windows 8.1? We have the exact same issues outlined here with our windows 8.1 machines. This hotfix fixed our Windows 7 laptops.

The dfsutil /pktflush workaround works on Windows 8.1, but it is not a permanent.

Thanks,

John

Hi,

As I known, there is no such hotfix published for Windows 8.1.

Would you please let me know when and how often this issue happened on your computer?

If this issue just happened after restart the Windows 8.1 client, we can try to run the logon script with command dfsutil /pktflush as workaround.

Please provide more information about your environment, and we can try to repro your issue. If it's definitely an issue, feedback is needed for next release.

Thanks for your cooperation.

I'm having a very similar problem but have yet to try the dfsutil /pktflush command.

The only troubleshooting I've been able to do is check Wireshark.

Wireshark reports just a TCP SYN packet to the DFS namespace server, but no response back. DFS server is working 100% fine for all users though. Including working fine on a Windows 8.1 Desktop that has the same GPOs applied.

Issue affects two laptops, two vendors (Dell and Lenovo). One wired, one wireless.

All DFS files (such as dfscli.dll) match on versioning.
