DFS/Name Space Drops mapped drives
HI Guys
We have recently started getting random drive mappings being dropped on users
windows
7 Workstations,
We have DFS namespace setup on DC's for our file shares on file sevrer
Replication is covered by Wansync
We have recently upgarded all workstations to
windows 7 and since then we get random drops of a single drive. Drops happen to various users for a couple of minutes then correct itslef. will only
happen to one user then nothing for a day or two then again on a different users workstation
Mapping is covered by GPO
We have recently upgraded namespace to 2008 and still getting same drops.
File
server is 2008 R2
DC's are 2008 R2
Domain level is 2008
We have applied several hotfixes and also regedits
KB 983620
KB 947235
Modified LAN manager auth level
We have implimented SP1 and still same erorrs
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the post!
Did you enable the UAC on your Windows 7 clients? The issue might happen when access network locations.
If so, create a new registry key to check if it works. (Note: Backup the registry before the change in case of any risk.)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Type: DWORD Value
Name: EnableLinkedConnections
Value: 1
